"A Bundle of Fun"

My inspiration for this quilt came from a bundle of fabric my husband bought me and Sharyn Craig’s Northwinds quilting pattern. After having done the Sharyn’s Northwinds pattern the traditional way I wondered what it would look like scrappy and with lots of color. The next thing I know the quilt took on a life of its own. I had so much fun making this quilt and playing with the fabric. And then playing with the quilting was just the icing on the cake. I used variegated thread against the black fabric and incorporated different styles of free form quilting, including free form feathers on all four corners. I wanted the color to pop off the quilt.

This quilt was made in 2007 and is 101” by 101”.
