Jerome Challenge 5 This was a challenge I did with some quilting friends while attending a kaleidoscope show in Jerome AZ in 2007. The challenge was that we would make a quilt out of black and white fabrics of our choice. We could use black, white, black on black, white on white or black and whites. We were to use 1 additional color of our choice and we had one year to complete the quilt. We would then share our finished quilts with each other in October 2008. This is the end result of that challenge. I love to do black and white quilts and normally use red as my color. However for this quilt I choose to use lime green as my additional color.I loved the contrast. I decided to do the log cabin block for this challenge but with a non traditional setting. After finishing the top I knew that I needed to quilt it with some lime green thread. So I just had fun with the quilting. I really love how this quilt turned out.
