ROSE ENGINE WORK Ornamental Cutter BIOGRAPHY Resume Just for Fun
|
Tange-urple This quilt started as a challenge by my husband to make something from the fabric I already had in my stash. While looking thru my magazines for inspiration, I came across a Debbie Craffery mystery quilt in “Quilt Works”. It was a three months mystery and luckily I had all the issues. Upon completing the blocks, I decided I really didn’t like the suggested layout so I incorporated Sharyn Craig’s technique of a secondary pattern with sashing. That’s when the real challenge started. After living with the blocks for a while and numerous tries, I am very pleased with the end result. I’m happy to say this quilt was made with fabric I had in my stash, except for the outer border. I found that in a friends stash. The back was pieced from all the left over fabric, fat quarters and half yards I had used to make the top. Which was equally fun to do. The quilting came easy. The whole time I was working on it I knew exactly how I wanted to quilt it. This quilt has been published in “Cheerful Quilts” by Christiane Meunier, Shelley Knapp, Mary Russell and more.
